The Philadelphia Building
The Philadelphia Building is a massive 246,194-square-foot structure in the heart of Philadelphia. The building is conveniently within walking distance of City Hall, Rittenhouse Square, and countless other notable Philadelphia locations. Designed by Horace Trumbauer in 1923, the historic building is a magnificent seventeen stories tall and offers unique commercial loft options for varying office users.
Liberty worked directly for the building’s owner Goldman Properties, on this project. We performed main emergency electrical restoration services after a water main break flooded the sub-basement electric service. Liberty also performed completely new electrical infrastructure upgrades. The upgrades included a new 13.2 KV double-ended main switchgear and new electrical distribution throughout the building with new bus duct risers, feeders, panel boards, and a backup generator. Additionally, we provided new power and control wiring for HVAC infrastructure upgrades throughout the building, along with electrical and data fit-out work for various tenants, including Chatter Blast, Cork & Candles, Center City Legal Productions, and Think.
